about
“This song is a rage-fuelled love letter to non-binary people everywhere”, says singer Leah Kirby. “As a non-binary person, or enby, living in the UK, I am constantly mis-gendered and often feel invisible. This is a banger for the fat enbys, the black enbys, the neurodiverse enbys, the disabled enbys. The enbys that don’t fit mainstream narrative of what genderqueer is. We refuse to be palatable and to fit into binary terms of ‘male’ and ‘female’. After hearing this song, I dare you to call me girl again!”
The band are using the cover artwork, by LGBT artist Hannah Dickins, to raise money for Outhoust East, a charity that supports LGBT people in Colchester, Essex. Dream Nails fans can purchase art prints of the cover for a donation. Fans can also choose to donate the art to LGBT youth clubs and charities:
Call me a girl again
Not asking for the hell of it
Call me a girl again
My gender’s not your business
Call me a girl again
Not asking for the hell of it
Call me a girl again
Non-binary resistance!
Woah-oh
They them, they them! x 3
Not asking for a friend
Woah-oh
They them, they them! x 3

Call me a girl again
Kick terfs all day, don’t break a sweat
Call me a girl again
Trans power is forever
Call me a girl again
My gender’s not your business
Call me a girl again
Non-binary resistance!
Non-binary resistance…

'They/Them' written and recorded by Dream Nails
Dream Nails are a punk force to be reckoned with. Founded by feminist activists, the four-piece mix political rage with queer joy, winning hearts (and funds for abortion charities) wherever they go.
This excellent EP swings from lurching post-hardcore to shadowy dark rock, anchored by a shattering vocal performance. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 20, 2018
Melbourne-based Slush's debut EP is filled with feminist, punky-pop tunes that make for an exciting introduction to their music. Bandcamp New & Notable May 10, 2019
